National Mill Dog Rescue’s “Healing Hearts Fund” was specifically established to provide funding for the comprehensive veterinary care each of our dogs receive prior to adoption.
In addition to significant emotional damage, puppy mill life takes a devastating physical toll on dogs. The majority of our dogs suffer from one or more of the following medical conditions: pyometra (infected uterus), injured and infected eyes, ears scarred from years of untreated infection, parasite infestation, giardia, coccidia, parvo, heartworm disease, tick fever, leg and foot deformities, a multitude of genetic defects, blindness, deafness, mammary tumors, hernias and thoroughly rotted mouths. These dogs truly define the word “survivor” and these are the conditions that our vet team deals with each and every day.
Through the Healing Hearts Fund, your donations will be utilized specifically for our Veterinary Care Program, not only the single greatest expense for our organization but the most critical care we provide for our dogs on their road to becoming cherished family members. Please consider making a donation to the Healing Hearts Fund today.
